The Sparta Public Library serves an intensely techno-savvy population, and we have always prided ourselves for being on the cutting edge of technology. We were the first to share a Kindle, and we have a strong presence on Facebook, Flickr, and Twitter. This program is something in which we would love to participate, and we know our patrons would love it as well. Please consider us for a beta test site. We already rock–now we’d like to roll!
Diane Lapsley
Diane, I am thrilled that you are excited. please fill out the application and email it over to me. We expect to name the four libraries very quickly after the deadline. Thanks- Nancy
Our Kinnelon Public Schools have been using the text messaging technology for a few years already to notify moms and the community of a school closing due to a pending storm etc. The KINNELON PUBLIC LIBRARY would LOVE to participate in this program. Our library programs have expanded dramatically in the past few years – and the amount of advertising using paper and other forms has gone up significantly as well. This program would not only help us go GREEN by saving trees, ink, and money but updating, notifying and advertising to the community would be a tremendous asset to the KINNELON PUBLIC LIBRARY. Thank-you!

Galina, What a great take on this program! Make sure you fill out the application and email it over to me. This is so exciting!!!
My teen librarian is already texting some of her customers. She’s interested in applying for the grant to expand. It would be helpful for her to have the support offered.
WDFPL doesn’t really have a full time teen librarian on staff. Carol Murphy only works 15 hours a week. Would this staffing issue limit our participation?
The Library Company of Burlington would be excited to participate in the 2009 Mobil Marketing Pilot Grant Opportunity! The Library Company of Burlington(1758-2009) is oldest continuous library in the State of New Jersey and for 251 years we are constantly striving to keep up with all the changing technology. With today’s economy we do not have a budget for for many of the fast changing communication methods.
The Library Company of Burlington’s community and supporters would benefit from this Mobil Marketing Pilot Grant Opportunity experience significantly.
It would be thrilling if The Library Company of Burlington could be considered for this exciting opportunity!
